Proper classroom attire for girls is a leotard, tights, and shoes appropriate for the class. Any colors of your choosing are acceptable. However, younger students, who elect to participate in one of our holiday shows, will need a black or pastel pink leotard and pink tights for that. Hair must be secured off the face, preferably in a pony tail or bun.
Proper classroom attire for boys is black pants or shorts, a white T-shirt, and shoes appropriate for class.
- Tap classes: Black tap shoes with buckles are required for all combination classes and Tap II. Tan tap shoes with buckles are required for Tap III and higher levels. These are available for purchase at the studio. Tap shoes with tie ribbons cannot be used.
- Ballet classes: Pink ballet slippers are required. These are also available for purchase at the studio.
- Jazz classes: Black jazz shoes with black soles are required for the jazz classes.
You are encouraged to stay and watch your child’s class. The studio is designed to afford an excellent view of the classroom floor from the waiting area.
Good class attendance is needed for each student to achieve his/her maximum potential. To encourage good attendance, at the recital we recognize each student who has attended all of his/her regularly scheduled (or recommended make-up) classes.
Our annual recital is in May. All students are invited to perform. Recital costumes are ordered in November.
We try to avoid canceling classes unless it is really necessary. On days that are questionable, please call the studio phone number for cancellation information.
